Lincoln County investigating a possible cluster of cases

Lincoln County Health Department has received notice of two additional individuals that have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  These individuals are both male with one in his 30s and one in his 40s.  Contact tracing is ongoing. 

Lincoln County Health Department is investigating a possible cluster of COVID cases in Libby.  We will release more information as it becomes available.  

Please be diligent and remember that the following guidelines should still be observed:

  • Vulnerable individuals should continue to follow the stay at home guidance
  • All individuals should be socially distanced from non-household members
  • All individuals should wear a cloth face covering in public spaces where social distance is not possible
  • All individuals should stay at home if they are sick
  • All individuals should continue to wash hands frequently with soap and water and when unavailable, use hand sanitizer.

7/9 update

Lincoln County Health Department was notified of an additional case this morning. This individual is an asymptomatic male in his 50s. Contact investigation is ongoing. We are also still investigating a possible cluster in Libby. Currently, we have five active cases in Lincoln County and 12 cases total.   Remember, we are specifically concerned about individuals that were within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes of an individual who has tested positive for coronavirus.   We will be hosting a Facebook live event tomorrow at noon. Please tune in for information and an opportunity to ask questions.   We are still notifying contacts.
