7/30 update

7/30 update Today we were notified of 6 new positive cases of novel coronavirus. Results are starting to be reported from the weeks that were back logged, however, we could not get an estimated count prior to close of business today.  An asymptomatic male in his 40s that had exposure to a known positive. An asymptomatic male under 19 that had exposure to a known positive. An asymptomatic female under 19 that had exposure to a known positive. A symptomatic female in her 30s that had exposure to a known positive. A symptomatic female in her 20s that had exposure to a known positive. A female in her 50s with unknown exposure.  Total cases: 69 -        Active cases: 21 -        Recovered: 46 -        Deceased: 2 Total hospitalizations: 6 -        Current hospitalizations: 0  

7/28 update

7/27 update

Lincoln County reports 1 death and 2 additional cases Unfortunately, late on Sunday, July 26, 2020, Lincoln County Health Department received report of a COVID-19 related death in Lincoln County, a male in his 80s.  Additionally, on Monday, we received reports of two additional cases of novel coronavirus.  A symptomatic man in his 40s with unknown exposure. A symptomatic woman in her 50s who is hospitalized with unknown exposure. 7/24 update

7/24 update   Today we were notified of 1 new positive case of novel coronavirus. A symptomatic male in under 19 that is connected with a known positive. Total cases: 53 Active cases: 21 Recovered: 31 Deceased: 1 Total hospitalizations: 5 Current hospitalizations: 1  

7/23 update

7/23 update   Today we were notified of 2 new positive cases of novel coronavirus. A symptomatic male in his 50s with unknown exposure. A symptomatic female in her 30s with unknown exposure. There are approximately 900 tests pending in Lincoln County.     Total cases: 52 Active cases: 20 Recovered: 31 Deceased: 1 Total hospitalizations: 5 Current hospitalizations: 1  

7/22 update

7/22 update   Today we were notified of 2 new positive cases of novel coronavirus. A symptomatic male in his 80s with unknown exposure. A symptomatic female in her 80s with unknown exposure. Both are hospitalized.  Combined, the County and CARD Clinic only received 4 negative results today.    Total cases: 50 Active cases: 21 Recovered: 28 Deceased: 1 Total hospitalizations: 5 Current hospitalizations: 2  

7/19 update

7/19 update: 3 new positives: - Male in his 30s with unknown exposure - Female in her 30s with unknown exposure - Male under age 19 that is connected to the cluster Total cases: 48 Active: 34 Hospitalized: 3 Recovered: 13 Deceased: 1    

7/18 update

We were notified of an additional positive case yesterday. This individual is a female in her 30s with unknown exposure. Bringing our total cases to 45 and active cases to 31. We only received a couple negative results on Saturday.  

7/17 update

Total Cases: 44 Active cases: 30 Recovered: 13 Hospitalized: 3 Deaths: 1 Today we were notified of an additional two positive cases.  A male in his 30s and a female in her 30s both with direct contact with a known positive.  Also, today 7 individuals were released from isolation and considered recovered.  One of our current active cases was recently hospitalized.  There will not be another update until Monday unless the situation changes.   

7/15 update

This morning, we received notice of 2 additional positive cases in Libby bring our total cases to 42 and active cases to 35. One individual is a male in his 60s and the other is female in her 60s. These cases are not linked to any known cases or any out of county travel. Contact tracing is ongoing.

7/13 update

7/13 update Lincoln County Health Department has received notice of an additional 7 cases of novel coronavirus in Lincoln County. The breakdown of demographics is as follows: - 4 males and 3 females - 2 under 20, 2 in their 20s and 3 in their 50s - 6 are symptomatic and 1 is either asymptomatic or presymptomatic Three of these individuals are part of the cluster in Libby, two are from out of state travel and two have not been connected to any other known cases. Contact tracing is ongoing. This brings the county’s case count to 40 with 33 active cases. 7/12 update

Additional Positives and Cluster Lincoln County Health Department has received notice of an additional 19 cases of novel coronavirus in Libby.  The breakdown of demographics is as follows: 11 males and 8 females 4 under 20, 6 in their 20s, 5 in their 40s, 2 in their 50s, 1 in their 70s and 1 in their 80s  12 are symptomatic and 7 are either asymptomatic, presymptomatic or unknown Eighteen of these individuals are part of the cluster in Libby and one is from out of state travel.  Contact tracing is ongoing.  This brings the county’s case count to 33 with 26 active cases. 7/11 update

Lincoln County Health Department has received notice of an additional positive case of novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  This individual is a woman in her 30s and is a close contact to a known positive.  Contact tracing is ongoing.  This brings our case county to 14 with 7 active cases.  

7/10 update

Additional Positive Lincoln County Health Department has received notice of an additional positive case of novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  This individual is a male in his 50s.  Contact tracing is ongoing.  This brings our case county to 13 with 6 active cases. 7/9 update

Lincoln County Health Department was notified of an additional case this morning. This individual is an asymptomatic male in his 50s. Contact investigation is ongoing. We are also still investigating a possible cluster in Libby. Currently, we have five active cases in Lincoln County and 12 cases total.   Remember, we are specifically concerned about individuals that were within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes of an individual who has tested positive for coronavirus.   We will be hosting a Facebook live event tomorrow at noon. 7/8 update

7/7 testing update

On Monday July 6, 2020, the Center for Asbestos Related Disease (CARD Clinic) fully took over central testing for COVID-19 in Lincoln County.  CARD Clinic will be holding testing clinics on Monday’s and Thursdays at 10:00 AM through July and will adjust frequency as needed.  They will be testing for active, targeted surveillance, symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals and those with high risk travel.  Call 406-293-9274 for questions about testing.    Other facilities are also testing for COVID-19 in Lincoln County.  The Northwest Community Health Center (CHC) is testing current patients for asymptomatic active surveillance, pre-ops, as well as patients with symptoms.  CHC is also conducting asymptomatic testing events in Troy for the general public.    Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is testing local pre-op patients as well as patients with symptoms that are hospitalized or in the Emergency Department.    Lincoln County Health Department will continue to test high ri

7/3 update

Lincoln County identifies additional positive case On Friday, July 3, Lincoln County Health Department received notice that an additional individual has tested positive for novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  The individual is a with direct contact of a known positive from out of state.  The health department is investigating for possible contacts.  As of Friday morning, Lincoln County has had 9 confirmed cases, 2 of which are active.    Please remember, if you have not received a call from the Health Department regarding contact with a case, you are not a considered a direct contact.  For questions about COVID-19 please call the Lincoln County COVID-19 Information Line at 406-293-6295.  

7/2 update

On Wednesday, July 1 st , Lincoln County Health Department received notice that an additional individual has tested positive for novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  This individual, a male in his 30s, traveled through from out of state and had direct contact with a known positive.  After investigation, the Health Department has determined that there has been very limited contact with other Lincoln County residents and direct contacts have been notified.  This case will not be added to the state coronavirus map because he is not a resident and is not isolating in Lincoln County.   Please remember, if you have not received a call from the Health Department regarding contact with a case, you are not a considered a direct contact.  Lincoln County Health Department also wants to remind you to have a safe and healthy 4 th of July.  Please remember to continue to be diligent in social distancing, avoid large gatherings and wash your hands frequently.  For questions about CO
