Eleven additional cases today:

  • A symptomatic male in his 20s with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic male in his 50s with unknown exposure
  • A symptomatic female in her 30s with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic female under 19 with contact to a known positive
  • An asymptomatic male under 19 with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic female in her 60s with unknown exposure
  • A symptomatic female in her 50s with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic male in his 20s with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic female in her 60s with contact to a known positive
  • A symptomatic female in her 50s with unknown exposure
  • A symptomatic male in his 60s with unknown exposure

 

In our review of a death certificate.  It has been determined that Lincoln County has an additional death associated with COVID.

 

Total cases: 326

  • Active cases: 63

  • Deaths: 5

 

Hospitalizations: 20

What is the scoop on masks?

Masks are not a substitute for social distancing!   The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that the general public wear cloth face coverings – not surgical masks or N-95 respirators – in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (like grocery stores and pharmacies). But the CDC warns that face coverings should not give anyone a false sense of security! Social distancing and hand washing are still very important protective measures and should be continued.   Bandanas and scarves are one way to cover your face. If you want to make a homemade face mask, there are lots of patterns and instructions out there. 7/2 update

On Wednesday, July 1 st , Lincoln County Health Department received notice that an additional individual has tested positive for novel coronavirus in Lincoln County.  This individual, a male in his 30s, traveled through from out of state and had direct contact with a known positive.  After investigation, the Health Department has determined that there has been very limited contact with other Lincoln County residents and direct contacts have been notified.  This case will not be added to the state coronavirus map because he is not a resident and is not isolating in Lincoln County.   Please remember, if you have not received a call from the Health Department regarding contact with a case, you are not a considered a direct contact.  Lincoln County Health Department also wants to remind you to have a safe and healthy 4 th of July.  Please remember to continue to be diligent in social distancing, avoid large gatherings and wash your hands fre...
